The Mystery of Manor Hall

It’s midnight and Milly wakes up. It’s very dark in the bedroom and she can hear a noise. She gets out of bed and goes to her brother’s bed.

“Tom, Tom,” she says and shakes his arm. Tom opens his eyes. “Milly, it’s late. Go back to bed.” He closes his eyes again.

“No, Tom, get up! There’s a strange noise.” Tom goes to the door and listens. “You are right,” he says to Milly. “I can hear someone singing.”

 

Today, I read The Mystery of Manor Hall, a book in the Oxford Bookworms series. It’s a starter. It was written by Jane Cammack. Tom and Milly visit their uncle who lives in Manor Hall. He tells them they must not open the door to the music room. But they open it. And there is a singing pirate! This book was very interesting. Please read it!
